ICPC Dhaka Regional 2021 - BUBT
ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Competition held at BUBT
The Asia Dhaka regional phase of the two-day international collegiate programming contest has started at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). The competition was inaugurated in the university auditorium on Friday afternoon. Today Saturday will be the final onsite competition, closing, cultural, and prize distribution ceremony.
President of the competition preparation committee, Jagannath University accounting and information system department professor and BUBT Pro-Vice Chancellor Ali Noor said, the university's Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department has organized the world's most prestigious computing event. On September 3, the online preliminary competition of 1,745 teams from 117 colleges and universities in Bangladesh was completed. Based on the online preliminary competition, 165 teams from 104 colleges and universities were selected for the final competition. 165 teams consisting of 495 students participated in this programming competition under the supervision of 165 instructors from 104 educational institutions in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Accreditation Council Chairman and former Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University Mezbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the competition on the first day.
Minister of State for Information and Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest on the second day of the event.
BUBT Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Fayyaz Khan presided over the functions, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Md. Shamsul Huda, members Prof. Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique, Professor Md. Abu Saleh, A F M Sarwar Kamal were also present in the program.
#Champions are: DU_NotStrongEnough team of Dhaka University won first place. BUET Potatoes team of Bangladesh University of Technology and Engineering and JU_kzvd4729 team of Jahangirnagar University won second and third place respectively.
