Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). BUBT is one of the top ranking and leading private universities in Bangladesh that has got a Permanent Certificate from the Ministry of Education by fulfilling all the criteria set by the UGC and Education Ministry.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of BUBT started in 2005 and now it has become the largest department of BUBT. It has about 3000+ students and 50+ qualified full-time faculty members. The Department facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms and lab facilities. We have twelve outstanding computer programming labs with latest configuration computers and equipment among them, one dedicated lab for final year student’s project or thesis work, and one industry-standard gaming lab established with the support from ICT Division of Bangladesh Government.

The Department of CSE is well-equipped with state-of-the art facilities for teaching and research. Key research areas include different areas of Computer Science and Engineering, such as Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Digital forensic, Blockchain, Internet of Thing (IoT), Network Security, Image Processing, Telemedicine and Intelligent Systems. Beside this, our students have opportunities to work on real life problems in their software development courses. A number of alumni are now working in government sectors also abroad in different multinational companies. Our alumni are also pursuing higher studies in different reputed universities all over the world.

The department of CSE is continuously improving curriculum to adapt Outcome Based Education to meet industry needs and also the aim of the CSE Department is to produce high quality graduates who will be able to contribute to our society development in IT sectors to support our vision and mission.
