Scouting or the Scout Movement is a movement that aims:

1. To support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development. that they may play constructive roles in society, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills.
2. To join such progressive movement, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) had started BUBT Rover Scout Group from the 2010. It is also mentioned that BUBT Rover Scout Group is the first private university in Bangladesh that had started scouting activities.

BUBT Rover Scout Group has two units for boys and one unit for girls scout. From the beginning of its journey, scouts of BUBT Rover Scout Group are performing their responsibilities and duties sincerely and honestly. Positive support from the University Authority made smoother the path of scouting within campus as well as outside of the campus.

The following activities are done by Rover Scout Group:

1. BUBT Rover Scout Group arranges weekly crew meeting and purpose of this meeting is to create a well understanding among the member of group.
2. It also arranges day camp for rovers. Investiture camp and ceremony is also arranged by BUBT Rover Scout Group.
3. BUBT rover scout group is to scouts own. This club also creates a vigil for scouts.
4. The important activity of this group is to provide help for new students to getting familiar within the campus. From this the new students get a new environment for communicating with each other.
5. This group also provides help for organizing blood donation camp. Blood donation is an important issue. The students get encouraged through this group to donate blood.
6. BUBT Rover Scout Group also performs disciplinary activities for all the programs arranged by the different clubs of the university and programs organized by the university.

BUBT Rover Scout Group is closely working with the social welfare club as well as takes active participation for any social activities.
